Prof. Dr. Ayşen Apaydın is graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Science, Department of Statistics in 1979. She completed her master’s degree and PhD in Hacettepe University, Institute of Science, Department of Statistics. She worked as an Assistant and Research Assistant in Hacettepe University Department of Statistics, Assistant Professor at the Sub-Department of Applied Statistics in the Department of Statistics in Ankara University, Associate Professor at the Department of Operational Research in Department of Statistics in Ankara University and she is a Professor at the same department.

Ayşen Apaydın worked as Vice President at the Department of Statistics, as the Deputy Director of Science Institute, Coordinator of Student Affairs Information System, Coordinator of Domestic Exchange Program, Senator of Faculty of Applied Sciences, Coordinator of Student and Informatics Department of Ankara University

She is still working as the Head of The Faculty of Applied Sciences Department of Insurance and Actuarial Sciences and the Department of Actuarial Sciences, Board Member of the Faculty Board and the Board of Directors of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and the Academic Council Member of the Real Estate Development Department.

She is giving lectures in the Department of Insurance and Actuarial Sciences.

She is also the chairman of the Turkish Statistical Association and an elected member of the International Statistical Institute.

Vice Rector of Ankara University, Professor Apaydın has several projects and journals and many scientific publications and papers, published in Turkey and other countries.
