Program Description: Pharmaceutical Technology provides information about the development, control, inspection and quality assurance of human and veterinary pharmaceutical dosage forms; inputs used in pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality control (natural and synthetic originated active ingredients, pharmaceutical excipients and equipment); related issues like bio pharmaceutics-pharmacokinetics, bioavailability/bioequivalence, cosmetology, controlled release systems, pharmaceutical biotechnology, stability of drug and active ingredient, validation and drug registration, gives theoretical / practical skills and educates competent scientist in these issues. Pharmaceutical Technology is interested in the production of dosage forms, inspection of each steps and inputs that provide the quality assurance in the production, identification and solution of problems, bioavailability and stability of dosage forms, special drug releasing systems, drug targeting, providing maintenance on the properties of dosage forms and development of new drug delivery systems. Objective of the program is to educate scientific staff about above mentioned topics. Graduates have information, skills and competencies about pharmaceutical technology, pharmaceutical biotechnology, cosmetology, biopharmaceutics-pharmacokinetics and radiopharmaceuticals.

Program Description: The programme focuses on hazardous effects of drugs and chemical substances in environment beneath the knowledge of their toxic kinetic and toxic dynamic effects in organisms. The definition of toxicology is “Science examining the interactions between xenobiotic and biological systems dealing with the health effects” or “Science obtaining the innoxiousness limits of the chemicals”. On the other hand, as there are many subtopics of toxicology such as descriptive toxicology, clinical toxicology, environmental toxicology, industrial toxicology, forensic toxicology, ecotoxicology and analytical toxicology it will be more useful to make a definition related with the areas of these subtopics. The truth is that, every chemical shows its toxic effects related to its dose so this fact makes the area of toxicology wider day-by-day involving drugs, cosmetics, food additives, pesticides, household products and industrial chemicals. Graduates enhances their toxicology knowledge about toxicology basics, mechanisms and practices. They assesses and uses the original information and technologies in the field of toxicology. They makes contact between toxicology and the other disciplines such as pharmacology, biochemistry, genetics, biophysics and forensic science, which are collaborator sciences of toxicology.

Program Description: The programme focuses on substances and starting materials with a wide range of biological activities obtained usually from plants, animals and microorganisms (fermentation). Pharmacognosy also dealing with extraction of natural sources, isolation of natural compounds using different chromatographic methods (TLC, CC, VLC, MPLC, Prep. HPLC etc.), bioactivity guided fractionation, qualitative and quantitative analysis (HPLC-DAD, GC-MS, HPTLC etc.), biological activity tests. The programme aims to create a pharmacological infrastructure for doctoral studies by obtaining higher level and original information based on the qualification of the undergraduate. By establishing relationships among the various disciplines of the pharmaceutical sciences to which pharmacognosy is concerned; reaching various conclusions using expertise in analysing, synthesizing and evaluating new and complex ideas. A new extraction of pharmacognosy can be applied to other fields of distillation, chromatographic analysis and biologically active pharmacy.

Program Description: This program is designed for delivering the steps for scientific research in health sciences and for this process to be completed based on pharmacology. It is primarily for graduates of 4- or 5-year undergraduate programs in health sciences. The program consists of advanced level theoretical pharmacology lectures within the first two academic semesters followed by the completion of a thesis based on laboratory work. A preparation for advanced academic work such as a PhD or advancing undergraduate level pharmacology information by focusing on a group of drugs, patient or disease are aimed by this program.
